In September 2020, I started my PhD at Coventry University. Over the next few years I will be researching how collaborative online international learning can support globally-focussed education and help students develop the skills they will need to successfully navigate fast-moving currents in a turbulent post-covid world. I hope to draw on my knowledge/experience of certain areas of Higher Education; my time in Learning Development should help to inform my investigation of how students collaborate and I believe my experience of Widening Participation should provide some insight into what internationalisation (especially of the curriculum) might have to offer students from disadvantaged backgrounds. My initial readings have introduced me to many new concepts already: internationalisation at home, service learning, intercultural fluency to name a few. As part of my personal development, I have created a couple of pages summarising the areas of interest to me so far in my career, and hope to add further pages as I go.
