About Me

I am an education professional with a love of travel, current affairs, the natural world. I went to school/university in Scotland (BSc Geography at Edinburgh) but have spent most of my working life in England or abroad. I started my HE career at what was Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett) doing pastoral support work and gaining a PGCHE, then moved on to Learning Development (academic study skills) at the University of Bradford where I became interested in supporting student groupwork and completed an MSc in Psychology. After a wee sabbatical in Germany and then Cyprus, where I worked in vocational and secondary education (picking up an assessors qualification and a PGCE along the way), I returned to the UK and have more recently been working in Widening Participation/HE outreach at the University of Cambridge. In September 2020, I started as a Postgraduate Researcher at Coventry University. My research is looking at Collaborative Online International Learning.
